OORT
Oort was made during a collaboration with Ronja Reuber.
For us, design is not only about aesthetics and problem solving, but can also be a means of change for the environment and manufacturing process. Oort is made of recycled aluminum and can in turn be recycled again, closing the production circle.
Our ambition was to make an updated version of the traditional Swedish wall mounted candle holder. Oorts’ flexibility allows the candleholder to be placed on a table, while the panel remains on the wall. The panel itself throws the light with its naturally reflective surface, being a decorative piece with or without the candleholder.
